Overview
KitchenCost is a recipe cost calculator. This policy explains how the app handles your data.
Data Stored on Your Device
Local-only for your recipe data. Ingredients, recipes, folders, and app settings are stored on your device.
- No account required
- Your recipe/cost data is not uploaded to our servers
Backup (Export/Import)
- Export creates a JSON backup file and opens the iOS share sheet.
- Import reads a JSON file you select from the Files app (or other providers).
- You control where backups are saved and who they are shared with.
- Import replaces your current data.
Diagnostics (Crash Reports)
The app may include optional crash reporting in some builds to improve stability (e.g., Sentry).
- May include diagnostic information such as device model, OS version, app version, and stack traces.
- May include basic app interaction logs (e.g., screen names/events) as diagnostics to help reproduce issues.
- It is not intended to include your recipe/cost content.
Data Deletion
You can delete data in-app (including permanently deleting from Trash) or uninstall the app to remove local data.
